Sylacauga Phlaphappies

Get ready to rock!
The Sylacauga Phlaphappies

The Sylacauga Phlaphappies are the greatest band to ever come out of Sylacauga, AL. We are a united effort to bring back the rock music that was simply the best music ever. Better than Bach (Sebastian Bach of course). We formed originally in 1982 playing local bars around Sylacauga, AL. We had 1 song play twice on local 89.3 college radio before the FCC deemed it inappropriate, but was a local hit among the college kids who rocked hardest. "Blue No Yellow" was the name of that song, and that is the name of our website.

We're real big fans of the Olympics even though Stix still thinks he has a shot, we all know better.

The History of our band:
Dex formed the band with brothers Sam and Sammy and brought on Stix. We practiced in Sam and Sammy's grandmother's basement where we rocked and she gave us milk and lime beans (hey it was free). Even to this day nothing rocks harder than lima beans. In Sylacauga there was only one drummer, Stix McGee, so naturally we brought him on to rock with us. Plus he has a sweet name for a drummer.

We broke up in 85 after our release of our 3rd cassette tape. Got back together in 1986 and then dis'banded' and now we're back together to rock for our 2nd reunion tour!

We will announce the venues soon so start growing your hair out to come see us. You will hear our previous popular songs such as:

Tour dates will be announced soon but we're definitely going to be playing at the Superpages.com Center

Keep Rockin!

So, we ran into this guy at a hotel room party:

That's right man!!! We partied so hard with Keith Richards!!! So Hard in fact we trashed the entire room. Our lawyer says that we shouldn't release any pictures of the damage until John over at Dallas Custom Furniture can replace all of the hotel room furniture we busted up. It'll be expensive to replace all of the damage, but what can you do, we rock so freakin hard! Plus it's like the Rolling Stones, so we had to pay homage to them.

Backstage, partying with the chics never gets old!!
